This is an interim notice, not a finished privacy policy. The Tool Shed is a work in progress and has no registered business entity or contact address yet. A formal policy will replace this page before the site moves to its own domain or carries a single paid link. What follows is a plain description of what the site actually does today, which you can verify by viewing the page source.

What this site collects

Nothing.

There are no forms anywhere on this site. There is no newsletter, no account, no comment box, and no field that asks you for a name, an email address, or a phone number. There is nothing here to sign up for.

What runs in your browser

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, nothing. The page contains no tracking script that fires.
  • No advertising or retargeting pixels. No Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no TikTok or LinkedIn tag.
  • No cookies. The site sets none.
  • One local storage key. The theme setting is kept in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device, it is not sent anywhere, and it identifies nobody.
  • The search box runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to a server. It filters a list that was already downloaded with the page.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes requests and keeps standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. That happens at the infrastructure level and is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy, not by anything this site does.

Every entry in the directory links to a site operated by somebody else. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their privacy policy, and this notice no longer applies. Being listed here is not an endorsement, and a few entries are flagged on the row where the legal position is genuinely unsettled.

Money

No link on this site is paid for today. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored placements, and no advertising.

If that changes, paid links will be labelled on the row itself rather than disclosed only in a footer, and this page will be updated to say so before any such link goes live. Entries flagged as a legal gray area carry no monetization either way, and that rule is enforced in the site’s code, not just stated here.

Children

This site is a general-audience directory and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anybody, including children.

Your rights

There is no personal data held about you to access, correct, delete, or port, because none is collected. If California or another state’s privacy law applies to you, the practical answer is the same: there is no profile here, nothing is sold, and nothing is shared.

Contact

There is no contact address yet. The contact page will carry a real one rather than a form that goes nowhere. Until then, this page has no address to give you, and saying otherwise would be a fiction.
