This is an interim notice, not finished terms of service. The Tool Shed has no registered business entity yet, so there is no legal party to contract with and no governing jurisdiction to name. Real terms will replace this page before the site moves to its own domain or carries a paid link. Writing them now would mean inventing a company, a state, and a venue, which would make the page worth less than this one.

What this site is

A directory. It lists free web tools, gives each one a plain description of what it does, and links to it. That is the whole service. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy, and no account to hold.

Accuracy

Descriptions are written from general knowledge of these tools and from checking that each link resolves. They are not audited, they are not tested feature by feature, and they go out of date. Tools change their pricing, get acquired, change their licence, or shut down. Two entries are already marked as archived for that reason, and one is marked because the product moved into another company’s platform.

If something here is wrong, it is wrong by mistake rather than by arrangement.

Listing is not endorsement

Nothing here is vetted for safety, security, or legality on your behalf. A few entries are flagged on the row where the legal position is genuinely unsettled, with a short note saying why. Those flags are there so you can make your own decision, not because we have made it for you. Read the note and use your own judgment.

Other people’s sites

Every outbound link leaves this site. What happens after that is between you and the operator of that site, under their terms and their privacy policy. This site has no control over them and takes no responsibility for them.

No warranty

This site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It may be incomplete, out of date, or temporarily broken.

Money

No link on this site is paid for today. If affiliate links are added later, they will be marked on the row itself, this page and the privacy notice will be updated first, and entries flagged as a legal gray area will stay unmonetized.

The directory text on this site was written for it. The names, trademarks, and logos of the listed tools belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify them.

Changes

This page will change, and the interim notice above will be replaced entirely once there is a real entity behind the site.
